Charleston Veneer Costs & Payment Options

The cost of porcelain veneers placed at our Charleston, SC, practice varies, depending primarily upon the number of teeth treated, the type of veneer placed, and other factors. Dental veneers are an elective procedure that insurance plans do not cover, but we offer convenient payment plans to help you budget for the powerful transformation this treatment can provide. To discuss your options personally with Dr. John Rink, please contact our practice today.

What Is the Best Choice of Dentist?

Dentists with extensive experience and a reputation for providing outstanding results with porcelain veneers and other cosmetic dentistry treatments will generally charge more than dentists who are less experienced. While this may seem prohibitive at first, it is important to understand that by trusting your care to a reputable dentist who frequently places veneers, you are more likely to achieve the results you want, and you can actually save money in the long run by avoiding the need for an expensive revision procedure.

Additionally, it is critical to choose a dentist who is accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). Dr. Rink is Charleston’s first accredited dentist with the AACD, serving as a testament not only to his academic background, but also his consummate skill in producing beautiful smiles.

What Are the Different Types of Veneers?

We offer both traditional and ultra-thin veneers. The right choice for you depends upon the condition of your teeth, your budget, and your treatment goals. Ultra-thin veneers are a little more expensive than traditional veneers, but allow you to retain more natural tooth enamel. As a result, this option is often reversible. During your initial appointment, Dr. Rink will explain the advantages of each option, and determine your candidacy for traditional or ultra-thin veneers.

What Treatments Complement Veneers?

Some patients combine dental veneers with treatments such as teeth whitening for more dramatic results, increasing the overall cost of upgrading your smile. Meanwhile, since all cosmetic treatments require healthy teeth and gums, other patients may require periodontal care or cavity treatment before they receive veneers, which can also increase the total cost.

What Type of Technology Is Used?

We use a combination of 3 Shape dental design software with robotic milling fabrication to provide beautiful custom veneers.  Dr. Rink then hand finishes each restoration adding the master’s touch to create stunningly beautiful porcelain restorations.

What Is Sedation Dentistry?

We understand that many patients experience pronounced anxiety in the dentist's chair, or are extremely sensitive to dental treatment. For these patients, we gladly offer sedation options that can help them to achieve deep relaxation under our care.

We offer two types of sedation: nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation. Oral conscious sedation provides the deepest relaxation of the two methods, and is the costlier option. However, patients who desire an enhanced smile but struggle with anxiety find that this added comfort is well worth the investment.

How Can I Budget for A Beautiful Smile?

Since veneers are strictly cosmetic, dental insurance does not contribute to the cost. However, we discourage patients from compromising their true goals in the interest of reducing their out-of-pocket expense. After all, disappointing results can take a toll on your confidence and will eventually require a costly second procedure if you decide to pursue the smile you wanted in the first place. Our office accepts credit cards, and our staff is happy to help you create a payment plan that allows you to budget for a beautiful smile.

A beautiful smile is certainly an asset in any setting – personal or professional – and confidence can make a difference that pays off well into the future.
