DR. JOHN F. RINK: The way you find a cosmetic dentist is you find someone who absolutely loves dentistry. My love in dentistry started early in my high school years and has grown throughout my entire career to where it is an exciting thing to come to work every single day. What a patient needs to do is to look to the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry gives examinations and tests to dentists and has created an accreditation process. Board accredited cosmetic dentists have taken rigorous tests that are written tests, clinical tests, and oral tests to receive the documentation of accreditation. So if you are looking for someone who loves dentistry, find an accredited dentist. I am an accredited dentist with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry; as a matter of fact I am the only dentist in Charleston that is accredited with the academy.
